notice that there were a ton of cops out and about today? From my window I saw three people get pulled over and get car searches (it didn't appear to be a road block, it happened on separate occasions throughout the day). None were arrested, they were only searched.

Then, when I took my dog for a walk, I saw even more cops speaking to pedestrians. I'm very curious as to why... is there a serial killer on the loose that I don't know about?

It's definitely gotten way better. I wouldn't really call it a hood anymore at all. Yay gentrification. Although the DTES is still fucked.

I always found Hastings gets worse when you get into the west side, like.. East side is semi sketch as you get closer to the police station, and then it’s junkies and homeless people everywhere. I lived in a suite up towards the PNE and we had no issues, but as you head towards downtown it keeps getting worse, hit Hastings and Main on the west side and it’s super concentrated, and starts getting better once you’re past Gastown. They really like Gastown at night.

So do hipsters and trendy folk, so it’s weird

I'm not sure. I think that that is in Compton and Inglewood but I don't really know. There are so many sketchy people that hang around Staples Center, lol. And then there's skid row and Broadway, lol. Broadway Avenue is where pimps, prostitutes and drug dealers are out in the open at night time.
