I never could get behind the Captain America series... I can only assume this latest attempt will be the worst yet.

I like Superhero movies, I grew up reading comics and it's cool to see them incarnated into live films while accurately made.

Why not? I thought the first one was great.

    I don't know...

I guess I find most of these films to be ridiculous and lacking much substance.
I like the Christian Bale batman, I enjoyed Dick Tracy, the first Transformers was reasonable...
    ...
I really don't think many movies are "great films"...

Yes, I also find them childish and believe they promote both genetic elitism, and consequentially, superficiality (which is already a problem among the west), in our society.

In contrast, I really enjoy good Sci-Fi (as oppose to Fi-Fi, which is purely fantasy), and believe it encourages an interest in science, and for us to use our imagination.

I enjoyed the previous version of Batman, with Christian Bale.

The first time I was truly disgusted by CGI was The Scorpion King in the Mummy Returns... so gorss.

Comic book movies have really become a lot like Comics themselves, prehistoric and outdated

I'm sick of super hero movies. My attitude towards that stuff is that of the antihero Deadpool. If there were more like that, I'd watch them. The Avengers and all that stuff? SO GODDAMNED BORING.

Oh no! A highly absurd problem. Let's get a magical person to fix it! Explosions! Fight scenes! Loud noises! Magic! All is safe! The end. Oh, sorry, I just spoiled every comic book movie ever.

This is why I only like Batman, because Batman is just a man... especially the modern incarnation of Batman on film.

He is an inexplicably wealthy man who gets the ever-loving crap beaten out of him and is fine. He somehow has unlimited money, but no apparent job, and unlimited technical and engineering knowledge, but no proof of where this knowledge came from.
    Soz, I call bullshit.

Bruce Wayne owns Wayne Enterprises, that he inherited from his father.
The technology is courtesy of that company, they obviously do R&D.

Both are well documented within the franchise.

Bruce Wayne is more like... Thomas Crown, except he battles evil instead of wooing women.

Really? Nobody in the company seems to realize that the bat mobile on the news looks like that prototype downstairs? And at the rate he surges, he'd bankrupt the place in a couple years

Well, without rattling off an entire Batman movie, one of the engineers at Wayne enterprises knows that Bruce is Batman and he generally re-purposes R&D originally for the military into Batman's tools (car, suit, weapons, etc). Because of this, Batman's toys don't look like the prototypes, and presumably only a few engineers would have seen any given prototype anyway. Wayne Enterprises is a multi-billion dollar corporation with many branches

If you really get into the storyline Bruce Wayne hardly even goes outside, or is seen at public events. He just lives inside his mansion and has almost everything done for him by others. Even in the movie versions he is barely ever seen at Wayne Enterprises it's all run by others, So in the off chance that over the years he didn't take enough machinery and have it delivered to remote locations to build his own technology, when would he be seen around. The bitterness he shared of his parents being super wealthy and dieing by such a simple death and random event, caused him to forsake his parents company and go his own way by never associating with the overall business itself.

    Well said @Cib3rNaut
Generally speaking, everything is quite well explained in Batman, without relying too much on "magic" or any other such silliness.
