Anybody stoked for the new mini NES? I just god rid of my NES/Sega hybrid cuz it was too cumbersome. Kind of interested in the mini box with built-in games. Might come down to price and game selection though.

    I have a Retro-Bit Retro Duo.
The controllers are just like the SNES controllers
It plays both NES and SNES cartridges
They come in all sorts of colours

This new thing is neat and all, but it's redundant.
I can already play all the games I own on my Retro Duo
I can already download/emulate every game on my PC.

I don't really see a reason to buy another device to play a subset of games I can already play...

I play them all on my computer, hooked up to my tv, with wireless Xbox 360 controllers and save states.
Saves money, and I can play whatever games I want, including home brew games

    Yeah, but it's LITTLE!

(I live in a tiny apt so space is crucial)

Then get a Raspberry Pi that has it all built in, or add the portable screen and battery pack, and treat it like a gameboy with colour... And save states...

Good reminder, I was going to order a couple to make media players out of...

There's another company making something similar, 64bit single-board computers, around the same price, might you know them? I can't remember the name...

Arduino? There's another type that Microsoft supports for Windows 10 IoT (which seems quite useless to me as a user...). I'm waiting for 3 new Pis to come in, as I'm running the experiment of clustering Samba and DNS for our school district... Then they're mine to keep!

My goal is to have my server (an actual computer) run as the Samba Domain Controller, create one of my old Pis as a Domain Member Server, then use the three new ones as a MySQL/HAProxy/Apache cluster for fail-over... And playing around, of course! I got lots of documentation on it, so hopefully I can do it in one or two evenings, but I need to record my steps.

Not really stoked, because I already have all the games and much more on my computer, then 3DS, then the PSVita, and on my last resort system the iPhone.

I might not be able to play N64 games yet, but my 2D game bases are covered by loads of opportunities.
