I'm curious how many different faiths we've got on Nexopia right now. Come post about yours, tell us your history or beliefs, what your family believes etc. This is where we can discuss all things religion.

I am of Scientologist origination, I don't really have to believe when I know the truth. That's really the difference between myself and all you Beliebers

Born a heathen, baptized roman catholic in first grade so I could participate in communion with everybody else, agnostic by 15-16, essentially an atheist now.

Are you an actual Scientologist, or are you saying your belief system is scientifically based?
That's an interesting journey, did you go to Catholic school?

I was put in the French school system. Catholic elementary, but public high school (but still very french and full of catholics - there was a constant struggle between the Jesus freaks and the administration (e.g. our school paper was shut down for being critical of the Pope)).

It's ok I have a few in my family too. It started with 2 and their kid and then slowly started converting more. I have pretty much nothing to do with that side of the family but they're nice people.

That's pretty terrible but not unexpected. I was lucky to go to an extremely liberal highschool where religion was not ever mentioned once in 4 years so other people's priorities had zero effect on my upbringing. :D

Your post starts familiarly, then as suddenly as it started, the familiarity ends. I grew up in a French Canadian town, but the Catholics weren't the "Jesus Freaks". That title belonged to the LDS or whatever the "Christians" were. Mostly, the Catholics under 40 (when I was in my late teens) were only Catholic twice a year. Christmas and Easter, in particular, Midnight Mass and Good Friday. Religion never really played into things in high-school. Hockey was a far more contentious topic. (Before anyone else makes the joke: Yes, I basically grew up in Letterkenny)
