    Post your hot takes!

    Who wins the President's Trophy?
    Who finishes last?
    Who wins the Cup?
Who wins the Hart for MVP?

Jets will finally make it to the second round of the playoffs.
That's the only prediction I'm willing to make.

    LOOL

(It's more likely that the Leafs make the playoffs, and we all know those odds)

    Actually, in all seriousness:

Top odds to win the cup in 2017:
    Pens and Caps are 8:1

    Canadian Teams:
    Habs: 22:1
    Oilers 40:1
    Flames: 50:1
    Senators 60:1
    Jets 70:1
    Leafs/Canucks 75:1

    (According to Vegas Insider)

That sounds about right. I also still wouldn't rule out the Kings & especially the Blackhawks from making a deep run.

I think the Leafs finish in the bottom 8, but not the basement. Vancouver looks BAD. And I really hope the Oilers make the playoffs. So much talent that has been mishandled on that team.

That was from Vegas Insider I think...
Chicago and Los Angeles won't go deep I don't think... too many losses, cap problems, etc.
Edmonton, Vancouver, and Toronto all miss the playoffs.
... That's about as far as I'll guess without seeing a month of play

I *never* count out Chicago these days. I'm with you on the Canadian teams. And yeah, hard to predict anything before the season starts. Definitely expecting some surprises.

I do have good hopes for the Jets this year though... Over the last few years they've been doing really smart draft and development work, this year should be the first "breakout" year, now that everyone has been under our system, rather than Atlanta's.

I'm excited to see how the Flames do with the new goalie. I'd like to see us at least in the mix for a wildcard spot

That's fair, though Calgary needs to rebuild properly...
They haven't acted like they have a plan since they put all their faith in Phaneuf, Tanguay, and Iginla in 2006-7 (hopefully the sarcasm isn't wasted).

I'm looking forward to Edmonton finishing in the bottom 10 (are the words "obviously" and "again" required here?)
