Potheads aren’t junkies though, junkie implies someone who uses illegal drugs via needles.

I was a teenager the last time I broke a drug law

People who use intoxicants are junkies, regardless of the law and no matter how they attempt to rationalize it.

Prescription medication is one of the miracles of modern science. I have a chronic disease that requires such things.

It predates my atheism, probably not a punishment from god or Odin or Zeus or whatever fantasy you have as master today

Prescription medication, my family doctor referred me to a clinic that prescribed marijuana, which has been an effective treatment for insomnia.

Admittedly my Neurologist didn’t like the idea much, but getting a good night sleep is more important to me than pleasing a doctor with a bias based on myths

Meh. Cannabis users are junkies. No skating around that.

The Bible never mentions marijuana, heroin, cocaine, etc., though.

It’s been used as medicine by multitudes of cultures with great success. I’m sure Jesus used it frequently. Only in modern times has it been demonized - and by modern I mean the last 100 years
