I agree to a point, you made a kid, one wants it the other doesn't. If it's the guy who wants it, he doesn't really get the choice in the matter. Vise versa, dude is on the hook. All in all, it's grey area'd but if your pro-choice, dude should get a choice too, not just a say, we're suppose to be equal but what is equality? this . I agree with the early on, there should be a short limit of time from the time the guy was told. Can't tell him 6 months in and think it'll flake the system.
Which is why if he say no baby he should be able to opt out of responsibility including financial and the law should protect him if he can prove he was consistent? Individual cases are going to be messy but since men should never have control of a woman’s body he should be able to keep control of his own life. Right?
Yeah I agree that he should have a choice on being a father or not, just not that he should have a choice on if she’s a mother or not.
I'll already previously stated I'm pro choice. But at the same time, say the woman wants an abortion because she doesn't want the child/can't support/etc, but the father does. If he's agreeing to take the child in without trying to force her to support or be involved in the child's life, why shouldn't he be included in that decision? Ultimately it's a very personal choice that you have to live with either way and a room full of men who make laws shouldn't be involved.
Honestly I highly doubt it'd be an issue if @SAKARINBO idea was in place. Guys have been trapped, it's not something that hasn't been done. You make your choice fine, but the other party gets immunity if they swing the other way. Unfortunately the guy still gets the short end of the stick if he wants the kid and she doesn't so, equality! It's impossible to achieve, a utopia of thoughts.
That's the bottom line here...there is no ideal solution, except to get people to behave more responsibly...and we know that's not going to happen.
The law shouldn’t protect a mans right over a woman whether or not she decided to carry a child. I just meant in the rare case where a woman decides to carry a child for the father who does want a child, it should be easy for her to absolve herself of parental responsibilities as well. I don’t know what kind of situation ends up like that but I’m just thinking of different scenarios
Win win win No man should ever have a choice over a woman's body. Think about lonely guys that are thirsty to reproduce and poke holes in a condom to knock up a chick. (horrible scenario but it happens) That woman should never have to consider his feelings on if she wants to have a child or not. Same goes for a couple that are having equally irresponsible sex and become pregnant. If he wants to keep it and she doesn't, case f*cking closed.
This is why I think that people should go with the Angelina Jolie route where they adopt a baby from a relatively-impoverished country.
That's completely disgusting If that ever happened to me and I could prove it, I would sue that POS for putting me through that.
had a gf who was like desperate to have sex asap told me to bareback her and even at a young age i knew something was off she broke up with me when i said i wanted to use a condom she got pregnant by some other dude almost immediately after i think she was already pregnant and didn't want the actual father in the life
