It was just the one time, everything went back to normal once the junk got cleared
Am I the only one who suddenly remembers this?
^ "Secure Connection Failed" Yes, I remember that one, all too well. Thanks for reminding me, Karlijn.
I’m ultra conservative. If I’m single, I’m completely celibate. Though I have needs like anyone else so I take those upon myself irregardless of relationship status.
I’m ultra liberal for the most part, but that’s more aligned with the beliefs that everyone is equal at birth, and only their actions and behaviours define their character.
And that people should be free to do whatever they want in their personal lives, so long as it doesn’t harm anyone else, except in self defence, if someone is trying to harm them.
So if you don’t believe in casual sex, you shouldn’t be pressured to have it, if you do, nobody should shame you for it et al. What you do with your body once you have that legal right to make a choice is your choice, and anyone who tells you what you should do (excluding impartial medical advice from a medical professional) should shut the fuck up. Your rights end where someone else’s begin, and theirs end where yours begin.
If you want to bone randoms, smoke weed, snort coke, whatever - the choices should be yours, and yours alone
Oh I didn’t mean conservative in a political sense with that post, I literally meant conserved. Rigid, held back, etc.
Me too, I wasn’t talking politics, I’m more a centrist politically
I’m a libertarian.
I’m a socialist. To each according to their needs, not their ability to pay.
To find the right balance of that is kind of difficult because, to me, they need to all pay to some degree.
Not all socialism is bad. I do enjoy Canada’s healthcare.
Socialism is just too stigmatized because of its association with Communism, lol.
The real crime nowadays is not being left or liberal. It’s almost like having to “come out” as a conservative or right winger.
A healthy, well educted populace will be more productive as a whole. The majority of people will contribute more, at a level that will vastly overcompensate for those who do less.
I’m talking a free market socialist, with certain essential things - namely education and medical care and basic needs (basic housing, basic staples) run as a social net, and luxury goods and the like being pay for your own.
So if you took the US, eliminated costs for all education and medical care, provided housing to those who can’t afford it (and providing housing for homeless people is cheaper than dealing with homeless people)
Everyone’s quality of life would improve and the economy would grow dramatically
Remember the days when being openly black was a controversial thing in sports, lol?
There has never been a communist country, just fascists who claim communism. The only communist communities we’ve seen are small communes, many in the US
Okay, fine. I mean, Marxist-Leninist countries.
Not possible, countries collapse without leadership, and unfortunately in countries that have tried the theory that power corrupts has been confirmed. Everyone is equal except the leaders, who are exceptions, and everyone except the leadership suffers, because they feel entitled to better
false, fascism is a very specific political entity employing the private sector to service the gov't's control of the economy, communism has no private sector but is demonstrably vulnerable to authoritarian control of the public sector
i like how this thread belongs in P&D now
