My all time favorite beer...
Is an open one!
Strongbow is too sweet for me. I'm really into the Okanagan Dry cider right now. The Molson Stone Fruit cider is surprisingly good. And Brickworks Apple Cider is my default when nothing else is available. I'll try anything though.
I really like the Elderflower and Ginger flavors of Strongbow.
I haven't tried those. I'll have to check them out!
Has anyone tried any Lemon Shandies? Those are right proper tasty...
Mixed: Sangria, Sand in your Shorts, Lao-Lao w/ anything
Straight: Umeshu, pale lager, cider
However as long as it's not straight Tequila I'll probably drink it. :p
Mixing drinks is teh worst, I had an overdose of Coca Cola at one point in time. Way too much sugar and other substances inside that fizzy shiz.
I'm very surprised I have not come across a Lemon Shandy before, it seems like something I would order
It's hard to find now apparently, great, I like something that's hard to find just great.
Lemon Shandies are pretty good. You should definitely try one!
I had to use the Google to figure out what was in a Lemon Shandy lol
Is it always made with ShockTop, or any light lager?
It actually reminds me of a Dark N Stormy, which I like if I'm going to drink rum.
I actually have no idea what they are, but I've tried them and they're good.
Nah it's not always Shock Top, mine was something different. Reallay good~
Google says ShockTop makes the best Lemon Shandy, I guess because it comes pre-bottled? I'm sure there are talented bartenders who are a little more creative with it. I read somewhere that instead of lemonade it can be made with gingerbeer too so maybe that's a Ginger Shandy :p
I've had several beers before that tasted quite like coffee, which wasn't the worst flavored brews
I've tried a few of that type. Usually a bit dark for my taste though. Pumpkin beer is a little lighter and surprisingly good.
Whisky: Single malt or I probably won't drink it and have a beer instead. Favorite main brand of single malt is lagavulin, and preferably the 16 yrs edition for a decent price and great flavour. Ofcourse you can go get an older version but thats for special occasions . With beer I love Belgium beers. Examples are afflighem dubbel, triple, leffe blonde, brown, la chouffe, kasteel, and some local unknown beers.
I used to drink a lot back in HS. Nowadays it's the occasional beer or tumbler with 2-3 fingers of scotch, neat, and a good smoke. Scotch is my preferred go to drink. I do however drink other liquors if I'm not buying
I think a username change is in order, whiskybeersbethyname.
