Windows breaking, engines failing, landing on roads and highways. Is it just me or has there been way more of this in the past week than normal?

Even bus and car have been freaking me out the past few years lol. The last time I traveled I took the train and it was much nicer doing that than taking a bus on the coquihalla :iik:

I don't like traveling so its a chore no matter which way it is, & I don't like the Coquihalla at the best of times.
We did 2 Alaska cruises which were beautiful, & one Rocky Mountaineer Train tour, but they are expensive.

Even with the problems they’ve had it’s still way safer than driving lol

Aren't more likely to get in a car accident, than an airplane accident, though?

Much more likely to get in a car accident than a plane crash

This thread makes me think I should be afraid to fly .. but I never have been. I love it, even hardcore turbulence :P

I bet it would be even better if you could watch Final Destination during the flight

The higher the altitude, the better?

I'm terrified of landing. Thats the only thing I hate about flying. Being in a huge can hurling toward the earth frightens me. But every other aspect of flying I enjoy.

Landing in Salt Lake City is terrifying, they have to do a hard approach while circling because the runway is in a bowl of mountains. The one time I landed there a little lady in the seat behind me screamed and shit herself when we hit an air pocket and dropped for a second

Does anyone have experience flying with large pets?
I've never taken my dog on a plane but I might have to soon and I'm terrified because of that story a few weeks ago..

Lots of dogs fly, but I wouldn’t take Kaia on a plane, short nosed dogs are known for not flying very well

Idk what I'm worried about most, that my dog will panic and have a heart attack or that she'll bust out of the crate and run amok in the cargo area.. both are pretty real possibilities

Last time we flew with a dog the vet gave us a sedative, so the dog got a pill on the way to the airport and woke up a little while after we got to our destination

How does your dog handle travelling in a vehicle? I find that most dogs that travel well in a vehicle are fine on a plane. Just make sure that your dog has access to water during flight.
