Naveed, You're going to open yourself up to a great deal of abuse if you let people get under your skin, particularly if you make it obvious that they are getting under your skin. It's sort of like a schoolyard...if someone tries to clown you, you've got to have a sense of humor about yourself and clown back rather than show your anger. Such anger is like blood to sharks...it draws all the sharks in for the kill. That's just the way many online communities work, and in fact the way most social interactions work in general. The way I read it, tool was just joking with you, but when you get angry and fight back, it shows that you have thin skin, and this will likely only draw out more abuse from others. Your best bet is to not take yourself so seriously, and just roll with the punches. Even if you don't wish to clown back, it's better to just ignore a comment you don't like than to come out swinging.
Yes, I recall some friction in the past, and I cannot tell you how you must handle it, but I did want to give my recommendation as simply friendly advice. Look at tool's initial post in this thread...was it really that offensive? I know offense is a subjective thing, and it might be easy for me to say it wasn't that bad since it wasn't directed at me. But, to me it seemed more like joking around. Responding in anger is rarely a good strategy online. Once someone has your number, they have the upper hand.
No problem! I’ve made a decent amount of money off of it. Basically you just transcribe audio files, some video files as well. There’s a training process and an entry exam though. Make sure you really prepare and take your time with the exam, because if you fail you have to wait before you can try it again.
I've made decent money writing for some porn companies in the past, writing fantasy scenarios for them for women. It is a small market, lol. I think Wrecky would be good at it, lol.
