Most of the time was spent on doing a ton of exercises before you learn techniques and roll. And, on your own, you had a set of exercises that you had to do, lol. You had to be at a certain level of fitness before each class, lol. It is to prevent injuries and enhance movement. Wasn't it the same for you, lol?
We did a warmup, like running around the gym and stretching before every lesson. But we always learned techniques, then at the end of the class we had an option to roll or we could just go home.
