I believe all humans are born equal, gender isn’t relevant to ability, nor is sexuality, skin colour or religion.

People are people, we should all have opportunities based on ability without taking any other factors that don’t affect ability taken into account.

That’s what’s feminism is - of course, there’s the man hating elements who think the punishment for patriarchy should be men being belittled and abused as a fair response to men doing that to women for so long, but that’s not feminism - radical feminism, which is crap. People should not be punished for things their ancestors did.

We need a gender mix to survive as a species - of course, with extremely large populations right now, we don’t need everyone to breed. Population is out of control

Much of the idea that all humans are equal and therefore entitled to equal rights stems from the defeat of the idea of teleology. According to teleology, if you were born a serf or a slave, that was just your station in life and you were born into those stations in order to serve a purpose, such as serving your master.

The Napoleonic Code decreed universal suffrage for all men, so the French Revolutionists were some of the first meninist. Incidentally, Olympe de Gouges was one of the first feminists but she got guillotined for her activism. But she helped inspire several famous later feminists.

I believe that men are #1.

    Women are a close 2nd.

A heartwarming story of the advances of women in achieving equality throughout the world …

Barbara Walters did a story on gender roles in Kuwait several years before the Gulf War. She noted then that women customarily walked about 10 feet behind their husbands. She returned to Kuwait recently and observed that the men now walked several yards behind their wives.

Ms. Walters approached one of the women and said, “This is marvelous. Can you tell the free world just what enabled women here to achieve this reversal of roles?”

“Land mines,” said the Kuwaiti woman.

In some countries women are valued less than Muhammad's favorite camel.

I would agree, but there is already a group that goes by humanist, and their beliefs are not so positive apparently

Very much so, it should be the correct term for what people call feminism now, but the bastards ruin everything

Feminism used to mean something when women were fighting for their right to vote but now these new age feminists complain about everything like if a man compliments a feminist she might cry sexual harassment.

I disagree, there’s still a long way to go before women are treated as equals - it’s a lot better than it was, but it’s still very unbalanced on average.
