At home, do you usually wear shoes or socks or go barefoot? And what about at friends' houses?

    Socks. Shoes are for outside... unless you go to your burnout friends who hasn't vacuumed in a year.

    I would be barefoot my whole life if it was socially acceptable and not disgusting.
    When I get home first thing I do it take off my shoes and socks. Also what I do when I arrive to acceptable places to have shoes off like the beach or park. Or the couple islands I've been to that have no roads so everyone is bare feet all the time, it was fantastic.
    If I'm at other peoples house I leave the socks and/or shoes on depending that they suggest. Unless it's a good friend, then they can have my bare feet germs all over.
    Sock preference... Probably ankle socks but I'm not really picky.

    barefoot in the morning until i have a shower, then i put socks on after. need barefoot to sleep too, socks = irritant.

    I've slept with socks on for like 15 years, they were clean socks installed right before sleeping. Oddly enough it just started as a joke one day after watching popular mechanics and then I never stopped wearing them since until recently

    Maybe there is a hidden connotation in this thread and someone has a barefoot fetish or would like to know how far people are going with the removal of their clothing items, So they won't feel disappointed or extremely embarrassed when they do remove their socks in other people's homes.
