I need to go to the thrift store again, it's been years. I used to go to Goodwill in Calgary, near Varsity fairly often. But not in like 5 years

I think so but not super familiar with the area. I know it's like a 10-15 minute walk from Market Mall.
I may also try the Chinook location since it's closer to the train.

I always liked the value village by chinook a lot, but you should google thrift store and see what smaller ones come up! The chains are always so picked over

I never liked value village much to be honest.
I might do a thrift store day on my next day off. Check Chinook goodwill and village. Need a new VCR

Not specifically, but I have a large collection from when they were the thing still. My VCR died. I kind of like watching the older movies on them. Quality isn't great but I just like it for some reason.

Women in Need is decent, used to live near the Bowness location

Check out Bianca Amore as well, it’s down the block from the Real Canadian Wholesale Club by Chinook

It’s more like the old Liquidation World than a thrift store, but tons of stuff, some decent, some garbage, but they have a lot of good stuff if you have time to wander and see their selection

Yeah, it’s a few blocks up, right across the street from Memory Express (the wholesale club is)

One of the dishes I got today has the logo in block lettering instead of script, and I think that means it’s produced in the 40s :eyepop:

We have a really awesome thrift store in my town, but when stephen hawking died, the owner told me I was going to burn in hell and deleted me... so I haven't been in there for a while...

I shared this quote by him and said rip and she took huge offense to it and told me that she's not risking not believing and then not getting into heaven and then said we were all going to burn in hell essentially lol She was on a tirade that day though

    this is the quote

“When people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them that the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the big bang, so there is no time for god to make the universe in. It’s like asking directions to the edge of the earth; The Earth is a sphere; it doesn’t have an edge; so looking for it is a futile exercise. We are each free to believe what we want, and it’s my view that the simplest explanation is; there is no god. No one created our universe, and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization; There is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that I am extremely grateful.”

Did anybody else think that skrinkle was out shooting buildings with a rifle after reading the title of this thread in the New Post section?
