What do you think about incarcerations? It is a relatively recent idea. Previously, in parts of the world, people were only incarcerated to because they were awaiting trial. I'm talking about civilian prisoners.
Yup, I mean child molesters are still pedophiles obviously lol. I don't think we should be punishing people for thought crimes (unless that thought crime involves child porn because by watching the "porn" it gives those videos a platform), I think we should be more open about getting pedophiles into therapy. Get them into therapy=less children abused. But there's no therapy for child molesters, I wouldn't be against chemical castration.
Prisons have existed for a long time, the idea of chaining someone up and depriving them of their freedom is probably an idea almost as old as humankind itself. I think if someone has done something to deserve it then they should have their freedoms deprived while they focus on rehabilitation. But I think sufficient evidence should be considered and weighed before someone is incarcerated, yeah.
What I meant was that do you think that it is a good enough punishment, judging by that you would like to shoot offenders. I mean, do you think that incarceration itself is as good as some of the medieval punishments?
I used to have the whole collection but my dad took them all off the shelf to put his books there, lol. He doesn't know where he put them, lol.
