The lady at the UD store told me I could only redeem my Birthday gift after April 12 or something. So I go online today to order something to get my free gif and my birthday code is expired.
She also didnt put any samples in my bag.
    Wow.

Well, if it was cosmetics, I'll explain why it matters...

Send a scathing email. This is what Sephora used to get in sooooo much shit for, so they stopped acting like assholes.
Bday gift and free samples are what all customers are entitled to, the whole reason they offer them is to entice you to shop at their store :foie:

Better than nothing I guess.. you should have publicly blasted them on Twitter.
Was it the UD store @ Metro?

Yeah, they really do suck. I get that their store is massively high volume but I think their customer service blows and they need to replace the entire staff if they want to be successful.

skrink and I were the only people in the store at that time and they still failed pretty hard to help us. The guy was a little helpful showing us stuff but the lady just seemed dense af.

I've had the same experience, I only go to Metro during dead hours and I've never had a good experience at UD. Sephora was just as bad at first but they've gotten way better so I just go there instead now.

There probably should be a school for customer service. Doesn't it seem like there should be training involved in that job field?

There is training, but it all comes down to the manager and how they run things. If they let the staff get away with poor customer service you can tell right away

I mean, an actual school where you have to get a certificate or a degree. I think that it would vastly improve customer service, in general. Just like teachers who teach elementary school. They don't need a degree to be able to teach that stuff but we require it and the teaching quality probably is a lot better than if schools didn't make that a requirement. :)
