website says fits true to size so I measure my waist. 32 inches, no arguing. Any tighter and the measuring tape is cutting into my skin. This 32 inch measurement is coming from the smallest part of my abdomen which I believe to be my waist. So I order a 31 and a 32. Both are way too big lmfao what.
31 is workable, Ill just take the waist in a bit since my thighs are filling it out. The 32 was so huge on me i dont understand.

This is why I buy jeans from a store with a dressing room so I can try them on before I buy them.

I think the size is referring to your shoulders. I heard we're supposed to wear our pants all the way up to our biceps

The problem is the sales are never as good in store. Or in this case they didn’t have the style I wanted in store at all.

Flattery sizing is annoying. Although with dress sizes they are sort of arbitrary #s anyways. With pants it’s literally supposed to be your waist in inches=your size lol

Why are you buying new pants, though? What's wrong with the ones you already have?

Just cut holes in those jeans. That seems to be the go-to solution for all jeans-problems, apparently.

Generally jeans are measured not at where your pants sit but just bellow the belly button

It is difficult to determine standard size numbers for girls because girls are so curvy. :)

Yes or at the smallest part of the waist. Just below the belly button for me would be bigger than 32 I think. Is there something wrong with my measuring tape?
Anyways I returned them and exchanged them in store for a size 30. They were double the price in store but they didn’t make me pay the difference. Still on sale online though. :|

Every band has their own sizing guidelines. You also need to factor in fit and fabrication. Jeans will have different rises and levels of stretch. If you're generally a size in a pant it should carry over to a jean ie. 6 in a pant to a size 27 in jeans. Best bet is going to a department store like The Bay, or something like that. They have may different brands so you can see which brand fits you the best. Rule of thumb is add or subtract 21 from the size to get the size you are looking for. Good luck! :D
