Okay, just got an email saying I have to apply for my dissertation. I have around 2 weeks to come up with my dissertation title and 200 words explaining what it's about, get a signature from a supervisor and send it off (where they'll probably reject me).

I take Law with Criminology. Give me ideas! I'm so lost, this email came out of nowhere. Heeelp.

Give me something that incorporates both Law and Criminology but is actually interesting. I would be interested in a fictional scenario, e.g. squirrels take over the earth, how would their laws develop? But not actually that, because that's stupid.

I'm going to make 5 separate dissertation drafts to discuss with my supervisor btw.

If I use your dissertation idea, I'll include you in my acknowledgments if you want. But with real names, I'm not gonna be like "thanks batman".

Write about how you would go about it in those areas if you ruled the world or a country or an island.

Nah, it needs to be neutral. I can't write about myself lol.

Criminology is not applicable to politic.
Political crimes are solved only via political justice.
How many Russians has died in Britain so far?
Will there be justice for any of them?

I take a political module (public law) so that could work as a thesis.

What's the Russian thing you're talking about? Was it that thing in the papers a few years back about a Russian spy who was "poisoned" by the state? Political crimes would be pretty interesting.

Some kind of comparative analysis between people, their different socio-economic factors and tendency to commit crime.

Something relating to the relationship between criminal offence rates being in decline even while media has decided to sensationalize what is happening in a way that makes the world seem scarier

Probably not an applicable topic, but it would be fun to put together
