Why not a cat? A nice older one from a shelter that is very lazy :)

Would a cat be cool with staying in my room all day? I don't want to end up David Turpining it.

I've known some extremely lazy cats that choose one room and generally stick to it, but why can't the cat wander the house a bit? Most people like cats :)

You could breed maggots. Just let some food rot until they come and take care of them. :)

No pets allowed in shared accommodation. It'd probably scratch on that dickhead's door and he'd call the landlord on me. Or he would step on it.

Rabbits are bedroom only pets, right? If they have a cage, I mean?

I thought about suggesting a cat as well, except that they are more prone to vocalizing than rabbits. Mine talk to me all the time. :)

All in all, Mike, you better not be getting a human as a pet. :shifty: I think that that is what we are all saying here. :)

I had pet rabbits growing up, one was an adopted classroom bunny that spent his entire life in a fairly small cage. The other was a baby I got from a farm that came with an outside cage. As long as you let it out frequently for exercise and keep it's cage clean it could be a good pet :) They are pretty quiet.

Actually a human as a pet is a great idea, you can feed it and talk to it and befriend it just like any other animal that you would keep as a pet. I'm all for it!

    ...

And then you make it sleep in the basement because its your pet, on a cot with a piss pot underneath with their leg chained to the wall because they tipped over your favorite plant that day and were very bad indeed.

In parts of Eastern Asia in the past, parents would adopt children and have them live with them as a friend to their child, lol.
