I never really got into Star Wars. It played more like a Harlequinn romance novel with space stuff thrown in as an afterthought to me. But Trek rules.

 

That's why it was called a space opera.

 

In the Force Awakens, they slaughtered an entire village just to look for a piece of a map. They also abducted children and forced them to become Stormtroopers. I forget what else.

 

Yeah...I hate opera too, so that would explain my disdain for SW.

Not opera as in singing but opera as in soap opera.

Technically, they were terrorists but @sharkbait. convinced me for once. The slavery, blowing up planets, murder etc. not exactly good guys.
