There was more work being done in the hallway outside of my apartment today (there was a fire across the hall a while back before I moved in) and as I went to open the door to go in from the stairwell I noticed this: Am I going to die now?
That happened to a building I was in once, and then a year or two after I started seeing those ads on tv “if you were here during this time join our lawsuit”
I'm kinda wondering if something like that would be grounds for me to get out of the lease if I decide to leave. I took pictures of not only that but the hallway itself and have those handy if I need to prove anything.
Apparently the air has already been tested in the apartments post-fire and is fine according to the person who did my move in. That still made me kinda uneasy though.
Yeah, if you stay for a long period of time you should make sure they test your apartment at least once a year. I’m pretty sure they’re supposed to do that anyways?
They can't use it now but this complex was originally constructed in the 1950s when it was still perfectly ok..
Everything I’m reading is saying that it’s still not fully banned and our last mine closed 7 years ago
this makes me wanna go buy 500 ft of climbing rope and keep it on my balcony just in case a fire breaks out
Is it weird that I always wish I had a parachute when I’m higher up that the second or third floor of a building
not only do i want the climbing rope i always wanted a cool vikings helmet to wear as i rappel down. never know i might make the news or something
i bought a n100 mask and carry it in a zip lock bag for whenever the skytrain and seabus or the entire city gets all smokey
