Not usually. The cost of food should cover the cooks on top of the management should be paying their cooks adequately. Waiters and waitresses technically shouldnt get a tip either but its something thats been common practice since the wage cuts to restaurant staff all the way back during the prohibition.
Yes, though not as much as I would if I was receiving in-house service. I know the BOH they are doing most of the work when it comes to take-out. The servers/host and expeditor (If there is one) play an important but very brief role in the take-out process if the server fucks that up somehow I would ask for the tip to go to the BOH, fortunately, that hasn't happened...yet.

I’d just go with idiot. The reason the system works the way it does is conservatives refuse to allow wages to be based on what the work is worth, they’d rather pay off politicians to keep wages low than spend the money on their employees

sit down at restaurant - absolutely yes picking up my own food - nah delivery - absolutely yes also some uber driver called a local radio complaining that he might get one tip all week out of all his deliveries then i looked up the uber tipping policy and it discourages people from tipping so i dunno maybe thats why
yeah but tbf a good server that knows how to be charming or funny or whatever can make pretty good money in tips alone especially if ur pushing drinks all night. get em drunk and somehow ur tip magically gets bigger what a concept lol
