Everything coming up Edgar Allen Poe

In hopes that I learn more about his life as he’s one of my favorite authors of all time.

What has everyone read of his work?

 

Yeah some of his stuff was required reading in middle school. I like the Poe

 

Yeah dude that’s where it all started. I read his work and as I got older And re-read some of it and could actually comprehend just blew my mind.

 

ALSO the Baltimore Ravens were named after him

 

I really enjoyed "The Tell-Tale Heart" in high school.

I also liked "The Cask of Amontillado"...read that in college.

 

Also, FREAKING AUTO CORRECT spelled *Allen and not ALLAN on the title of this thread. So **** You auto correct you dirty whore.

Edgar Allen Poe bibliography

I haven't read most of his works, but I did also enjoy "The Pit and The Pendulum."

 

Must read but also I think I read somewhere that he was paid 9$ for The Raven ... that’s mind blowing because I feel like The Raven was WAY more popular.

 

Beyonce stole one of his lines which was "A dream is but a dream."

The Tell-Tale Heart is an obvious choice, but for good reason.

The first time I read it, when he yells out, "Tear up the planks!" I got literal chills.
