Since I mostly post waffle I thought I'd go a little deeper ;)
I want to know what scares you, from the perfectly understandable to the completely irrational. What are your biggest fears, and does anyone have an actual phobia?
I used to think nothing scared me and I just had severe aversions to some random stuff, but that's when the lights are on :nailbiting:
(I'm aware I probably need a psychiatrist, but Nexopia is kinda the same thing)

I don't like spiders either, but my reasoning is I just don't want them to get in my hair. As long as that doesn't happen I don't mind trapping them under a glass and letting them go outside.
Fun fact @SirJordan spiders are said to be attracted to witches, so if you see a lot maybe your letter to Hogwarts really did get lost in the mail and you're already several years late to first term :p

I am so irrationally afraid of heights. My girlfriend hates it when we hike mountains or go to waterfalls and I'm shaking at the top. I can't help it.

I don't know if that's an irrational fear, it's a really common one. Did you fall or get pushed off of anything as a kid?

    No, but I'm short.

I know it's a common fear, but as far as I know there is absolutely no basis for it. My Mom is afraid of heights, too. Could phobias be genetic?

I've seen a bit of research that suggests phobias could be genetic. Based on identical twins growing up in different families, something about DNA memory. But it's more likely a learned phobia if you share it with someone close to you.

I feel you Posta, I don't like boats or the ocean or lakes or swimming or diving or really anything to do with water
Showers, pools and hottubs are the exception.

That's why I'm down with pools, you might find the odd band-aid if it's public but it's no where near as scary as what's at the bottom of the ocean or a murky lake full of weeds and sunken logs.

Spiders are nope. But I don't kill them, I trap them and put them outside. And if I think it talk too much about my own death, I'll lose my shit. These are common though.

I have a totally irrational visceral fear of the sound of steam trains. Every time I hear one in real life, I have an anxiety attack. Why? I don't friggin know. I used to live near a train line, and the commuter steam train would set me off. I have no reason for this. My body has decided I'm scared. My brain doesn't care. I'd love to go on a steam train! The anxiety attacks made me laugh a little, because WTF.
