Have you guys heard of this? Apparently golden retrievers are so gentle they can carry an egg without breaking it, but vets are warning against the challenge saying it’s a choking hazard and could give the dog salmonella. My dog swallows entire socks and eats human shit lol I doubt an egg would phase him.

I'm sure wild dogs have been stealing and eating raw eggs forever, shells and all. But if I had a retriever I wouldn't do this because I'm a helicopter dog mom :iik:
My dumb little one almost got a chocolate almond the other day and I freaked the f*ck out at Mr Wrecky for being so careless :imslow:

Chocolate makes me paranoid, or anything poison to cats/dogs. But I’ve seen my dog eat way worse things than an egg lol

Yeah my little guy will eat absolutely anything except dog food. I have to trick him into eating his kibble
The only things I'm really scared of him getting are chocolate and chicken bones.

Also you gave me an idea for a new thread

One time my mom had an entire roast chicken on the counter and when she left the room for a second it disappeared. Never found anything, not even a bone :| our dog was nuts.

That happened to me on a smaller scale. I had two chicken legs but had to go somewhere quickly. When I got back they were gone but my vegetables were untouched.
I never caught the culprit and there was not a trace of evidence, but I assume the cat and dogs worked together as a team. :foie:

We did it twice with Kona. She loves eating a raw egg. She can carry it but both times she dropped it and it broke
