Ok so I've started to create files to save all of the smilies to, but I've save a lot and now it takes srsly almost a minute to open the file. It says I still have 8.7 GB left, but its sooooo slow. What can I do to make these files open and close faster?

What kind of files are you opening? Do you mean folders?

Oops yeah folders. I created 1 smilies folder, and then a bunch of other folders inside of that one like halloween, xmas, misc, etc.

Alt ctrl delete and shut some running programs down? Download the latest updates? Update your drivers? Idk man, speeding up computers is a trick but it can be done. What OS are you running?

I've never used a Chromebook, but I know with Windows, the folder structure seems to have no bearing on how long it takes to open a particular folder. It may be a RAM issue...other than that I just don't know. :(

Damn I don't know much about chrome. Sometimes computers can be sped up by updating their driver software, which is something a PC tech would know more about. Its been ages since I did anything more than basic maintenance on computers so I can't really help you but I can refer you to a pro for help.

Yeah techs at Best Buy or London Drugs are generally pretty good, or what is it Geek Patrol? Basically anywhere you can take a computer in to be serviced they are bound to know some tricks that will speed up your compy.

Not to be negetive, But chrome books are fairly cheap little machines, and theirs a chance your expectations are a little high on this one. Its no windows or mac OS.

I knew a guy at TAZ who was administrating his XenForo site solely with a Chromebook, and he seemed happy with it. :)
