But at what age constitutes being able to understand that? If a 7 yo says yes( not fully understanding) that’s okay with you?

Yes, and if afterwards, the 7 year old doesn't feel harmed by it.

All I'm saying is that these across-the-board type laws, where it applies the same way to everybody as a blanket, is kind of unfair and acts should be taken on a case by case basis to determine if a crime or a wrong occurred.

And laws, in general, are far from perfect as seen in how they keep evolving. Did you know that, in England, it used to be a capital offense to have homosexual sex? It was called buggery, lol.

So your saying genders reversed it’s okay for a grown ass man to penetrate a 7 yo child if they say yes. Which in case the child didn’t feel harmed...

Even when the legal age in Canada was 14, a teacher was still barred from that because they’re in a position of power and influence over a child. Children (under 18) do not have the capacity under the law to consent to sexual activity with anyone who holds authority over them. Kids are just too easily manipulated. Most assault cases involve family members, coaches and teachers, people they trust who should know better

No, because in that case the child would be harmed even if she didn't feel harmed. What I'm saying is that if the child didn't get harmed, it is okay. In this case, the child would because the man's dick is too big for her if he was to penetrate.

Seeing kids, in the Western world, as children is a relatively recent phenomenon, probably within the past 500 years. People like John Locke and other education theorists pioneered the concept of childhood. Before that, they were seen as miniature adults but still the parents' offsprings.

What? This is a really dangerous attitude to have. Have you seen a 7 year old? They literally don't even know what the word consent means. Even with the 14 year old, there probably was a lot of manipulation from the teacher's part and the kid still won't fully understand.

I mean, this is basic morality that should be ingrained in a person. And I don't think you're an immoral person. If you have this "attitude", maybe you should see a therapist about it. I'm not saying that in a rude way, I'm saying that as a friend.

^ I change misspoke. I meant, if the child isn't harmed by it, not just if he or she doesn't feel harmed by it.

A child will always be harmed by it. I remember it's something like 25% of abuse victims have attempted suicide, it's one of the worst things that can happen to someone.

No, because if crimes are uniformly applied to everybody, then there are bound to be some unfairness.

Only because they are informed by society that it is wrong. Otherwise, they wouldn't be bothered by it, if it doesn't harm them, otherwise.

I think that you guys allow yourselves to be too informed by what your society deems as wrong.

You're trying to argue that raping a 7 year old is morally acceptable. Do you realise how crazy and fucked up that is?

Seriously, this isn't healthy behaviour. You need to speak to someone about this.

Not raping. Having sex, if it doesn't hurt the child and if the child is okay with it, meaning if he or she understands it. :) And if he or she isn't harmed by it. Because it would basically be consensual sex, in that case.

They’re not going to understand it, kind of like you don’t.
