My friend texted me to see if she could read my notes before a lecture (she's a lesbian, so relax). I responded to her text with: Rosa Parks~ "No" She hasn't responded and it's been like a day since I texted that. When I saw her in the lecture theatre, she ignored me when I said hi. I use that Rosa Parks quote on everyone, but she happens to be African-United Kingdomish so I'm worried she's perceived it as racist? I've definitely used that quote with other black people and they thought I was hilarious, so what's up? I mean, okay I get it. In hindsight, it's pretty insensitive trivialising what Rosa Parks did. Should I apologise? What should I say?
