The urge is similar to the urge to only wanting to have sex with the opposite sex or with the same sex.

And I'm saying there is no way to justify acting on the urge to have sex with an animal.

Do you eat meat to survive?
i.e. you cannot find vegetarian food?

No, that's why I have moral qualms about doing it, and was a vegetarian for 7 years of my life. If as a society we were enlightened enough to outlaw eating meat I would be happy to stop.
But this thread isn't really about the morality of eating meat Vs not eating meat, it's about the morality of humans having sex with (non human, as you keep pointing out) animals.
I'm well aware that animals do not consent to being raised for slaughter so we can eat them, and tbh this whole conversation is making me consider going back to vegetarianism
    @tool Are you a vegetarian?

And while we wait, let the murders continue.

It's about the selective usage of the word "consent". In a typical style of humans twisted logic, having sex with them is bad but killing them is fine. In fact, if we ignore the human version of consent and apply the animal version of it, it would mean that you can have sex with them without injuring or traumatizing the animals.

Think about this scenario, a male dog is busy humping a female human. The other scenario is dogs killed for meat. If animal welfare is the main concern then we can regulate bestiality to be safe for the animals. But animals welfare is never our concern. It is our prejudiced disgust that make us outlaw bestiality. I am disgusted by men fucking other men but I will not allow my morality to dictates the lifestyle of others.

No, that's why I have no issue with bestiality.

In a debate, that's called ad hominem.

But my point remain the same, there is no logical/moral reason for banning bestiality. Applying human concept of consent to other animals is absurd. If animals welfare is our main concern then we can regulate bestiality to make it safe for the animals.

There is always a moral reason, though, because morality is subjective.

I agree and it is also absurd to apply it to human children because the human concept of consent is created by adults.

So, there is a universal moral code?

What if there are conflicting moral tenets like one person thinks that all gays should be killed and the other side thinks that all gays should live and be treated just like everybody else?

I used "consent" because it is easier to debunk their argument using their own logic. But on philosophical basis, I never argue using morality, I always argue using science. Morality is subjective, science is objective*.

*Objective does not equal truth, it equals observability, testability, verifiability i.e falsifiable statements.

There is a big different between a child and an adult both from biological and psychological standpoints.

Non-moralistic "consent" can be measured both biologically and psychologically. Just because something is created by adults doesn't make it absurd. What makes it absurd is if there are logical inconsistencies such is in the case of bestiality.

The argument for forcing adult rules on children can be measured in term their (children) welfare - objectively. There is no logical inconsistency in it. Adults will naturally try to protect children, and the effectiveness can be measured using science.
