Probably, I know the Pho place is still open and excellent because I actually drive to Surrey to have it every so often. 10 hour drive is worth it lol - I’ve been back in Calgary for 8 years.

I never tried the Jamaican place, but now I have another reason to drive out and give it a try

 

okay so to pure's comment - traditional all black university's like prairie view A n M are indeed racist and prejudiced towards white people. of course no black uni's exist in canada but in the states are quite relatively plentiful. u may call that example reverse racism, but its still a form of racism

I remember when they were building a new Khalsa school in surrey on old Yale road and a bunch of white people were complaining about “a school for brown people, they shouldn’t be teaching brown people stuff they should be learning western stuff” something along those lines. And I was like, okay but what about private catholic and Christian schools? Why can’t there be a school for the Sikh religion like we have for christians? They have the same curriculum, they just offer Punjabi and learn about their religions. But they insisted it was racist since apparently they won’t let white people in there, but catholic schools won’t let you in unless you’re active in the religious community or have a deep wallet
