Is Nexopia GDPR compliance or don't give two shits about it or have no idea what the animal even is? CC: @Karlijn @Chutiya @Makeup Queen, move this to AS please.
I don't really know much about it. I haven't done EU law yet, that's next year Explain it to me like I'm mcpon
The EU is going to wind up being owned because of this. A lot of webmasters are simply going to deny EU citizens access to their sites rather than comply with their mandate.
Unlikely, the EU market is substantially bigger than the US. Yes, the US market is bigger dollarwise, but if you’re selling a $6 product, cutting 510 million potential customers out is just a stupid idea.
I see a lot of webmasters saying they are going to block EU citizens, and they are working on methods to do it. I don't know how widespread this will be, but it is being discussed as a strategy.
I guess it depends on whether you’re selling something. As far as I know, the average income in EU countries is wealthy enough to pay for valuable services, the US average is heavily skewed by guys like Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and the like - they have a lot more potential paying customers with higher average incomes. Pretty sure as wealthy as it is, the US has more poverty stricken people than the EU
Basically if @tasteemee rage-quit, she can demand all her posts to be removed as well. But that only apply if she is EU citizen.
Do you have a European Passport? I am actually quite familiar with the GDPR stuff - you do realize that if I delete your information, it also acts as a permanent self exclusion?
