    Yeah I guess it's all about context. Apparently I need to have some good experiences at some point and erase all these stupid negative associations.

    Definitely can be, oh **** yes lol.

    With someone you’re comfortable the nastiest insults can be flattering, with someone who’s a bad match the sweetest things can be painfully condescending.

    I’d rather be called a
    **** or ****muffin
    by someone I know cares than sweetie by anyone I’m not sure of

    ^^This so much, if Mr Wrecky called me sweetie I'd give him a really dirty look but if anyone I'm not with tried that I'd probs be biting their head clean off. :egrin:

    They would probably be angry because I generally only use words such as "bud" or "mate" when I'm bitter and sarcastic. For example, if I'm walking towards an elevator and someone sees I'm on my way but they let it close, I'm always like, "Thanks mate!"

    So if I called a boyfriend "bud" that would mean there's trouble...
