Just use your hubby’s credit card, it’s like gifting only you have control over it :imslow:

I'd like to get some stuff, but does it have to show up I'm a plus member? The banner thingy just looks weird to me.

I know on the old site you could hide the plus banner thing, can not see a way to do that currently, but it would be kinda cool

Damn, That's really close to being a dealbreaker. I want usertitle changes, though, so I'll probably still do it. Thanks for the info @Squire72

I like this site, and they made a change I suggested which made me love it more haha (ability to pay in the sites native currency)

Sometimes it is. There are free forum services, such as Forumotion.

Aren’t most “free” services ad supported? The lack of ads here is a pretty nice feature.

Nexopia doesn’t pay for the forum software, they pay to host the website, have @nexopia.com emails, the domain, etc.

Nexopia has millions of users (the reason it says we have 391k is because the new software only counts accounts which have been logged into since 2015) and with those millions of accounts, we have probably close to a billion images. That is a lot of stuff, and nexopia has to pay for the space to store it.

Might be worthwhile to export everything from anyone who hasn’t logged in in more than 3 years other than just username and login info to a backup drive?

If someone got their account logged in and wanted to access old stuff they could put in a restore request, say 72 hours for regular and 24 hours if they’re willing to buy plus right off the bat - getting the database down to hundreds or even a couple thousand users could save a lot of overhead

Currently I’m the only staff member who restores accounts/resets passwords, and I’m already doing it almost every day. That would either end up doubling my workload in that area or people wouldn’t even bother and we’d lose potential logins because they don’t see their old stuff that they came for. The majority of logins every day are from people coming to look at their old stuff and share with friends, it’s not from forum regs, so that would be a huge loss.

    Does nexopia purchase ad space?
As the saying goes, it takes money to make money.

Ok. How much are we talking in GBs? Does it require a dedicated server?
