So, one day I was wandering around this big garden centre (it also has a pet section adn the BEST cat trees) and I decided to look at the seeds. Tucked away in a corner were a few packets left of mixed cacti seeds, and there began my obsession with growing succulents from seed. It was hard at first, I kept getting bugs that would eat my seedlings. So in search for help I discovered a cacti website with forums. One thread was a free seed exchange, so I had a guy send me three different kinds of seeds.. and one was lophophora williamsii (peyote) :D2

They are notoriously not an easy cactus to grow from seed, but I've done ok. They are nowhere near as big as their cousins (the other cacti seeds I got from that forum guy) but they look healthy enough.

Side note, I became so obsessed with growing cacti that I had over 1,000 seedlings.

So fast forward and I'm moving from Calgary to Vancouver in a small truck. I barely had enough room for my stuff, I couldn't even fit in my tv or a microwave. So I was unable to take the majority of my succulents but my dad said he would take care of them until he was able to bring them out to me. I ended up take one pot of peyote seedlings, and leaving one at my dads house

So now my dad, possibly unknowingly, is growing peyote in his house too. (unless he killed it, entirely possible)

*DISCLAIMER* I WOULD NEVER EAT MY BABIES I RAISED THEM

I love succulents so much, some of my favorite plants, but I would never try growing them from seed. That sounds like too much effort and patience for me.

My favourite thing to do is go to Walmart and steal a succulent leaf that's already fallen off of the plant and let it grow into a new plant :D2

This was my rock garden the year that we moved out of our old house. It was such a shame because I had put in the rocks and all the plants just the year prior and it was finally looking good and I never even got a chance to enjoy it.

It's tougher to decorate our new house because there's a damned lamp post right next to the house and it's bright and ruins all the atmosphere.

I couldn't figure out what this meant at first. I thought it was garden postology, haha.

Like a public lamp post? If it's private you could change the bulbs to red ooOoOo

Yeah, one of those big town lamp posts. I considered shooting and breaking it, I doubt they'll come repair it ever. But that's pretty sketchy.
