As I watch John Wick, after watching Snowden, I wonder to myself: "Is America too militant?" Answer me that. Trump himself is quoted as saying "You know there still is a thing called execution" Meaning The Americans are BACK. And not in a good way. What do you think?
I don't think much about American politics, I don't get to vote there so it's not really my problem. Fun to watch from here though
LOL YOURE THE ONE who said I should go making a thread in P&D about it And then your answer just throws me under the bus lmao Love it.
Rainbow for you, you saw through my plan. I have very neutral opinions on foreign politics but I like watching others fight about it.
I'm slightly left of center and am known to sometimes voice my opinions or scrum with a neocon. But I too like to just stay out of it and observe from my lofty Canuck perch. I figure if you've got something good to say, say it, but otherwise no point no one is going to change anyways.
I don't think theres anything wrong with execution. Provided everything is handled correctly yeah. Some people just deserve to die there is no rehabilitating a complete scumfuck waste of life. Pedophiles, Serial Killers, etc. Definitely deserve the axe. No second chance. There's no second chance at life. The person you fucked up or killed didn't get a second chance. Why the **** should you?
I agree but am very leery of assigning oneself the right to take lives unnecessarily. It goes against our better human nature to do so and is a slippery moral slope. I'm not WHOLLY against it where it's treated very gingerly but I'm not for it either, especially not in the case of Eddie Snowden, the whistleblower. EDIT1: There are monsters out there who deserve to die, but Snowden ain't one of em.
I wouldn't execute Snowden. He did the right thing. To punish him for that shows you how corrupt Merikkkuh really is. They've legitimized the cancer that the human race has become. I personally hope Gaia herself does some work. We can't fix the damage we've caused without dropping numbers.
First on the list Skrinkle.. what a waste of life. Theres a reason you work with the dead you no intelligence no personality having scrub.
You fuckin bet your bottom dollar that Gaia is going to come round and whup Murrikas ass if she doesn't straighten up and fly right soon. The entire human race is not a cancer though I disagree with that statement, we can and do still live in harmony with the planet where we can and are TRYING, it's only portions and parts of us that are legit tumors needing to be removed. And yea, bad things are gonna happen, tornados and hurricanes and flooding and radioactivity in the water are all no laughing matters and even more will go down before it's all said and done. I believe that.
This is completely unnecessary. And offensive to me personally, as you well know it is my desire to get into death care. Need I remind you, you're not in AS, she is a Mod and also a human with feelings.
The way rogueboner is scared of me is the way I'm scared of the US. I don't believe anyone should die for their crimes. The worst punishment is rotting in a cell, and they argue that they have to execute because there just is not room for so many inmates, but then they put people in prison for weed? So dumb.
Yes'm, entirely hypocritical. Methinks they just like their killins, when they SHOULD just be lockin em up for life. And not for weed possession. LoL
And then you also read all these horrible stories about innocent people who were executed. And young people being executed. Children have been executed in the US. "George Stinney, a 14-year old black boy, was electrocuted in South Carolina in 1944" WTF 1944 wasn't even that long ago. My Amma would have been older than that boy when it happened and she's still here.
Yeah there have been tons of problems with racial inequality and persecution in the US with things even happening recently to show that it still exists in part, like that police officer shooting a black man in the back as he ran away wasnt even armed he just shot him dead. Bah And the SOUTH, wow in the south so many bad things have happened to black people because white people wanted to "hold on to their superiority". Jim Crow laws and KKK rallies and bus burnings and lynchings and assaults for no reason and with no repercussions just because the people were black. Total bullshit. There are a few really good movies about it, one with Morgan Freeman and another with Forest Whitaker I can't remember the names right now.
