Me time and self care

    To maintain mental health it's important to take time out from our busy lives and indulge in some "me time" and self care.
    What do you guys do to relax?

    Some of my favourite things to do these days are a face mask, bubble bath, turn off my phone, pick up a book or clear my schedule and bake cookies :)
    None of these things I would consider productive but I feel good afterwards and even slightly accomplished :clap:

    To get my mind clear: adult colouring books and classical music.
    I also like to go outside, to the park or something, and just look around.
    I don’t really do self care, other than showering and putting up my war paint as my dad calls it

    Outside, fishing or hiking snowboarding or playing fetch. Going for a drive listening to music and blazing. ultimate stress relief In my life :)

    A group of my friends get together weekly for a "colouring sesh" as they call it.
    I went a few times but found it to be pretty boring, even when I'm attempting to relax I still need to be doing 3 or 4 things at once. :imslow:

    I do this a lot too, but I don't include it in self care. I think it's more of a hobby for me :P

    Definitely counts! I think the difference for me is I go out for a drive with loud music when I'm annoyed or something is bothering me :P (which is pretty often tbh)
    When I'm dedicating an hour or two to self care it's because I'm in a good mood already and want to feel extra good :)

    It's a subjective term :) If you go out of your way to do something for yourself that makes you feel good, it's totally self care.

    A friend of mine who is a big gamer says videogames are his self care. And who I am to argue that :)

    I too enjoy driving and music and find it to be therapeutic. And weed. Weed is therapy too. :party:

    I don't recommend this but if my roommates are out, I just randomly laugh loudly. I do this periodically for about an hour or longer, lol. :)

    Another one is where you just smile for no reason and randomly during the day, lol. :) Supposedly it sends chemicals to your brain that makes you feel happier, lol. :)
