Getting results of 2 of my modules and 30% of my 2 core modules tomorrow. Posting this so I have a place to either brag or cry at, give me them 2:1's baby.
So it's: 1st= 70%+ 2:1= 60-69% 2:2= 50-59% 3rd= 40-49% Fail= 39%- Most (good) unis require a 2:1 to take a masters which is what I want to do.
That’s really low requirements, like... some places anything under 60% is a straight up you fail - 50% is usually the minimum to pass, but it really shouldn’t be, knowing half of what you need to know isn’t really enough to get by doing something. Less than half of everything there is to know is normal, but uni pretty much only teaches the basic concepts you need to go further, not everything
Yeah lmao. Under 60 is a fail in Art school where I went for my undergrad. I never understood the grading system in Scotland where I did my post grad.
Way harsher marking in England, 80% in an essay here would be publishable work. To get 40% you need a pretty good understanding of the course. 60? That's what I'm hoping to get lol. Scottish system must be the same I'd imagine
To put it in perspective, I got 20% in an exam last year despite actually revising for it. But it was first year, so it didn't count towards anything and I could just resit it.
I doubt it. I mean good luck n' all but I wouldn't brag about only knowing 60% of the information you're expected to know.
Yes, getting a 2:1 in a Cambridge law degree is nothing to brag about. Employers will look at my cv and spit in my face
Oh, I think I know it. Had a friend who went Glasgow uni, was it A1, A2, F1, F2 etc? Example, A4 is a low A grade and C1 is a high C grade.
I hope you pass and if you don’t I’m telling your mom and she’s going to make you deactivate your nex account. Good luck bruther
