Not sure if this has been mentioned before or not, but a multi-quote function would be fantastic in my opinion.

I think it should be able to just be turned on via the admin control panel. The software should support it. I think.

Tadah! Now to use it, you click the button that says "+Quote", then when you're ready, click "Insert Quotes" on the bottom of the reply prompt. An info box will pop up and ask you to confirm the quotes you want to use. Click okay and you're off to the races.

I took a screenshot from the XenForo installation running on my local server. :)

I see our admin is on it...although the "Quote" to the far right should say "Reply"...likely a phrase that needs to be edited...I'll check...

Don't quote me on this one but I believe it's the default Xeno software setting.

This is super confusing. We might have to change it to be more like the old nex quote lol.

It looks like the name of the phrase is "reply"...Kirsten, if that says "Quote" you might want to change it to "Reply" so it's less confusing. :)

How so? The +Quote indicates that you're adding quotes to the queue (rather than an instant action). You may be able to tweak it, though. Not fully sure on that one.

Do you know how to edit the phrases?

You mod types should also post a tutorial for folks who aren't going to pay attention to this thread

I do know how, but I actually changed reply to quote on purpose because that’s how it has been here since 2003 lol. The original quote auto quoted the whole post though, not just what the person said.

So if I quoted your post that had a quote in it, it would quote your post including the quote you posted. That’s what I thought this would do. But instead it’s an extra button which is gonna confuse everyone.

See this new button is still not quoting the quote in your post. Which is what I thought it would do.

No, it just quotes two separate posts so that you can reply to two posts at one time without having to double or triple post.

Such as what I'm doing in this demonstration. Thus I've replied to both of your posts at once.

Quotes within quoted posts are removed, using either method. :)
