    I would like to marry a Dutch girl. I am half Dutch and speak a bit of German and plan on moving to Europe in a few years...hook up?

    I’m only half Dutch. My mum is British. Well, she was. She has Dutch citizenship now.

    There's this whole notion that they call it citizenship because of maritime admiralty law and we are government property, anyone believe that? </conspiracy theory>

    I think that the word citizen comes from the French word citoyen; someone who lives in a city.
