I don’t understand why it’s not considered abuse.
Some kids have conditions that cause it, but mostly it’s just parents who don’t want to be bad guys, or put up with whiny asses.
The idea of childhood in the Western world began during the Enlightenment. Before that, they were considered mini-adults, lol.
Unfortunately some parents have no clue what a healthy diet is. You can’t punish people for stupidity
Not many, and most that do, it does not create the degree of obesity we are seeing in most children.
As for the topic, its ridiculous BUT i am all for the idea of physical education and working out becoming a required class for everyone preschool to any college degree.Something that should also include multiple, daily classes.
In America another issue is we make really unhealthy foods, affordable and/or super cheap. Add this to a lack of education on the subject and we see what we do.
Sometimes it is genetic, and is not like there is much that can be done about it. Also depends heavily (pardon the pun) on the age of the child.
If you feed your child a lot, you can grow a Shaquille O'Neal. Your child will become a superstar millionaire athlete and you and your husband won't have to ever work ever again, lol.
Actually, you can. But natural laws and effects are the ones that does it, lol. For instance, if someone thinks that they can fly just by flapping their arms really fast and they attempt to take off from a roof, they will get injured when they crash land onto the ground, lol.
