Like, how many drinks a week is too much for you? Or how many drinks would concern you if a friend was drinking them?

For me, I’m allergic, more than 0 drinks a week is too much. 0 works perfectly

For a friend? I don’t even know what normal is, 1-2 a day is in the max still healthy range, but more than that occasionally isn’t that bad. Alcoholism is dangerous though

Sorry to hear you're allergic, but I would say you're not missing out on much!

I think you're about right, I would agree that like.... 10 drinks a week is pushing it, except for special occasions.

It was one of those creeping up on you allergies, I drank pretty heavily in my teens and 20s. pretty sure it saved me from becoming a raging alcoholic :)

Sometimes "bad" things are just a blessing in disguise!

Agreed, it made me cranky for a while because I used alcohol as a social crutch, had to learn to human when I lost drinking haha

Good for you for being able to overcome that! I know a lot of people who would have sacrificed their health instead.

It wasn’t easy, had to learn to deal with my anxiety so I don’t run screaming (exaggeration, but not a big one) every time I have to talk to someone

I know that feeling all too well. I recently had to cut out alcohol almost completely. Even going out to dinner has been a struggle, but over the last month and a half, it's gotten a lot easier.

I used to have a weekly drinking night, I'd say I probably had between 5-9 drinks in 7ish hours, but none outside of that time frame so 6 days a week I was sober :)

Setting boundaries is super healthy! Sounds like you have a handle on your drinking.

After years of drinking my face off I had to learn eventually  but 5-9 is still pretty white girl for me, like falling up the stairs with a block of cheese in each hand level trashed :lmao:

I love that mental image lmao

Don't worry, I used to be able to crush a 2-6 plus some wine no problem, but now because of meds and cutting back, like 4 drinks and I'm loopy lmao

Yeah I stopped because I wasn't allowed to drink when I was taking pain meds. I'd probably be shittered after half my normal amount now :imslow:

Oh yeah, that's probably for the best, you don't want to be mixing painkillers and alcohol.
