No, I have heard of it tho
It’s odd, but in a good way - condensed sweetened milk deep fried in a tempura style breading
Tofu and soy in general is a common food ingredient in Chinese cuisine. You are implying that Chinese men have hormonal imbalance. Surely I don't have to continue with why this is problematic?
Have you ever had shaved ice?
I may have that tomorrow at Snowy Village. I love mango shaved ice!
Shaved ice is delicious when it’s flavoured
Refreshing when it isn’t
Not entirely true, tofu is used often but sparingly in most Asian cuisines, they have noted strange hormonal balances in men who eat more than that
this is such a western myth. It is a literal staple for many people especially those who follow a Buddhist vegetarian diet, probably millions of people.
Just what I was told, it’s used commonly, but not in any real quantity for the most part
mm no, main source of protein for millions of people. Its also used in non veg dishes, mapo doufu for example where tofu is served in a meat sauce not the other way around.
Either way, it’s somewhat unhealthy for men in quantity due to hormonal effects. It was brought up in a health portion of a TV show. with an Asian chef disputing the volume of tofu Asians eat, saying it was a myth that they eat as much as people think they do
Sorry but its simply not true. Wouldn't be the first time someone on a tv show said something fictitious backed up with bad sourced. "Asian chef" lmao which part of Asia? China alone has so many different regions with different cuisine I am sure even a chef from Hong Kong wouldn't know the eating habits of mainland people from every other region never mind the other countries.
Not claiming expertise or personal experience here, just the scientific data I was presented and someone with first hand experience suggesting that things are not what people assume.
I’ve made no assumptions or assertions, beyond that particular product, tofu, being dangerous to men in excess. I didn’t get the information on what would be considered excess, nor do I particularly care, given I eat almost none of it, as most ways I’ve tasted it, it’s disgusting and not interesting at all. Have had a couple times where it was pretty tasty, but still not as good as real food. Or cow dung. Yeah, it’s never good.
Against tofu yup. Shit is nasty
tofu sucks ass
yep, only western food is real food.
Asian food is generally magnificent. Especially East Asian food, Thai food and Vietnamese food.
Best curries and spices
Yes, you should cook for her. She must be hungry.
According to her other post, she's apparently eaten enough.
