So my granddad was telling me stories about his father. He said that as a child, his father (my great grandfather) had 2 dogs named Haslem and Udonis. Udonis was a neglected pitbull and was highly aggressive. He would attempt to bite anyone who wasn't his owner, nowadays he would be put down. My grandfather recalled with perfect clarity the name of his father's classmate, Klay Carter. Klay had one day agreed to look after my great grandfather's dog Udonis. The next day, the dog was found dead with multiple stab wounds which Klay admitted to inflicting out of self defence. Well as it turns out, Shrinkle was telling me about her grandfather named Vince and the subject came up of his father Klay Carter. We both went on ancestry.com and what do you know, they both lived in The Netherlands, Amsterdam at the same time. So yeah, Shrinkle's great grandfather killed my great grandfather's dog. She can confirm. Edit: Oh it's spelt Skrinkle that's embarassing. I always read it with a h for some reason.
Honestly if this tells me anything, it's that a LOT of us have ancestry from the Netherlands on this site.
Well, me? My parents are both immigrants from the Netherlands. Not to mention @Karlijn but technically she's still IN the Netherlands...
That makes it a boney ass then. Go back in time far enough, and you will find ancestry all over the world. I myself have ancestry in the U.K. (my mom) and somewhere at the Belgian-French border ( my dad's great-great-.....-grandparents. I wouldn't even be surprised if I have some of Genghis Khan's genes.
1 in 200 people have Genghis Khan's genes, so that's 0.5% of the current world lol. Kind of crazy considering he was born in 1162.
