You might consider seeing a dermatologist if it's that bad.

I have, they just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - nothing technically wrong with it, just super sensitive

It’s okay other than blade shaving

Only thing I can recommend then is ultra sensitive stuff. Just finding a combo that works for you, really.

It's all good. I saw the filtered post pop up and approved it right away. It looks like you won't have to worry about that soon though. It was definitely "cream" that triggered it.

When I tried and kinda failed to do the spikes in my hair I was using a 3 for hold so maybe I need to bump that up to a 5 to get my hair to cooperate. For the electric shaver, does that actually get you a pretty close shave with a good one? I remember when I was really young my dad had one he let me use and it would miss a ton of hairs to the point where I'd still have to shave after with a blade anyways. I'm in the same boat as Squire where my skin just doesn't tolerate shaving very well so it'd be nice if that worked for me. I haven't tried the sensitive skin gel yet though, just the regular stuff. Maybe I'll test that out first.

Yeah, took a while. If I shave with a blade to catch strays every couple weeks, the electric does a decent job

I picked up a Braun 700 series in 2010, replaced it with a 900 series I got free from airmiles a little over a year ago, they do a great job - the cheap/shitty ones are hit and miss though. Only stupid part is the self clean refills add about $10 a month to expenses, but still cheaper than good blades overall I find

    OH TEN POSTS TO GO

Sensitive shave gel, after shave care is important too. Bump c.r.e.a.m. and moisturizer. You would be amazed. Also gentlemen make sure you're shaving correctly. That's a big one too.

That's less than I spend on blades for sure for the refills. Right now I just get the Shick Hydro 5 disposables and Edge sensitive skin shave gel.

I do Harry's and they have stuff for sensitive skin which I like but it also depends on your budget and what not.

The first one cost me $99 on sale at Walmart stateside, it was like $250 up here, refills vary between $7 and $12 each depending on sales and deals, last about a month. I got 6 years out of the first one, so definitely got my money’s worth there

I'd be pretty hesitant to just drop $250 on an electric razor right now if there's other options that might work.

Yeah I completely get that. I have a little cheapo that I use to kinda do the rough stuff then I go back with the razor. How many blades does your razor have?

If you can get 5 years out of it it’s about 50 a year, not terrible, so total 170 a year with the refills. Not cheap, but based on how much better it is on my skin for $15 a month averaged out?

There are cheaper, but they tend not to last as long, break down easier, and you need to shave with a blade as well to get a good shave

They're 5 blade razors. It's good except for the fact that 5 blades makes it hard to get small spots like right under the nose.

Mmm yeah also make sure you go in line or directly against the grain. Try not to go cross ways if that makes sense.
