Booby Trap would be my personal favorite episode, and not just because it has the word Booby in it :imslow:

Star Trek definitely has nerdier fans, I can own it. But at least we don't claim to be "better" than Star Wars

I think the reason why we choose Star Trek is that we've seen both and go for content. I doubt most Star Wars fans have seen all of Star Trek, I haven't even seen it all but I've seen enough to make my choice :)

I'm a perfectionist so I'm either watching all of it or nothing. I tried to do this with Monty Python but the 60s tv show was terrible and I gave up on the whole thing. This article says to watch in this order:
    • Star Trek: The Original Series
    • The Animated Series
    • Star Trek: The Motion Picture
    • Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
    • Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
    • Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
    • Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
    • Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
    • The Next Generation Seasons 1-7
    • Star Trek: Generations
    • Deep Space Nine Seasons 1-5
    • Voyager Seasons 1-2
    • Star Trek: First Contact
    • Deep Space Nine Seasons 6-7
    • Star Trek: Insurrection
    • Voyager Seasons 3-7
    • Star Trek: Nemesis
    • Enterprise
    • Star Trek (2009)
    • Star Trek: Into Darkness
    • Star Trek: Beyond
I've watched the first episode of Star Trek: The Original Series and it's actually better than I expected a show from the 60s to be. Seems ahead of its time. Still kinda sucks but it seems like it could get better so I'll stick with it for now.

I should have Googled how to watch Star Trek before I started but binge watching
    I did it like this:
    Voyager 1-7
    TNG 1-7
    DS9 1-4 (so far)
Do I fail as a Trekkie? :lonely:

You haven't watched the movies? Complete failure, you suck etc.

And this show needs to gtfo here with this bs. They find a guy who has been living on a planet by himself for his whole life but he managed to speak perfect English by the radio messages left behind on a crash

What's supposed to be the best series/movie?

Haha Idk.. tbh I hadn't watched ST since I was a kid so it's like I'm seeing it all for the first time.

The first movie is worth watching only for its completely absurd production values - it’s almost visually distressing how terrible it looks. It’s about as far as you can get from a visual masterpiece - the effects in TOS were better. The rest of the movies are much better as far as execution of effects

All the series are worth watching, but I’m not an animation fan, so I’ve never intentionally watched the animated series

Posting this in here because I don't want to make a 3rd Star trek thread :imslow: :imslow:
I just finished DS9 and I'm just.. butthurt.
It could have been my favourite but just like with TNG and Voyager the characters I was shipping from the beginning and never happened just ruined the whole thing for me. :tears:
I started Enterprise last night, so here's to pinning all my hopes on this one

I enjoyed Enterprise - it’s a huge departure due to the timeframe, but I thought it was pretty great, and T’Pal is beautiful lol
