https://thecatsite.com/threads/10-yr-old-family-cat-is-vomiting-and-pooping-every-where.352068/ I’m sure they could find the money for a vet by making sacrifices elsewhere
Very much agreed......pets come first I hate it when people aren't willing to make the sacrifices necessary to ensure their family members receive the proper care
Bet she wouldn't think twice before taking the kids to the hospital if they were sick, so obvs he's not "like one of them" I hate people that love their pets until they have stupid human offspring and then don't give a ****. Like you committed to the animal first, get rid of one of the kids if it's too much
Another trash human just posted https://thecatsite.com/threads/cat-abdomial-is-huge-and-breathing-fast-help.352109/
Why doesn't child protective services protect cats instead? They wouldn't even have to change the logo
It’s called a credit card!! I’d rather turn my internet and phone off for a few months than let my pet die or have irreversible damage from not going to the vet when it’s needed.
You can call the local shelters or the SPCA. There are millions of options! Most vets will discount or use payment plans too. The thing is, if it was their human child they would find a way. But people don’t view animal life the same way as human life. There’s no excuse for not going to the vet.
I get your playing devils advocate here JJ but dude every year people return pets or abandon them because they don't anticipate the cost or responsibility..its the worst a month or 2 after Xmas as people are idiots and give animals as gifts....it happens with dogs when people don't research breed properly And get more then they bargained for.. Sadly, there is a lot of pieces of shit that abandon the animal rather then poney up and pay the vet bills when emergencies happen..part of the reason I donate to a local animal protection society cause they often get stuck dealing with this shiat
One day when I’m rich I want to help more if I had a house I think I’d want to be a foster mom for elderly and diabetic cats, since I’m so comfortable giving needles
Maybe there needs to be a financial background check to establish who is equipped enough to own a pet then?
I don’t think that would work. It’s not necessarily who has more money. I make below the poverty line (lmao) and manage to pay for two sick cats. It’s about how you want to spend your money and what your priorities are.
Technically it is about the money But yes priorities need to be checked Anyways I’m done with this conversation because its stagnate.
