apparently Stephen king didn’t like the casting of Jack Nicholson in the shining. Mostly because of his prior casting in one flew over the Cuckoos nest. He speaks on the characters slow decent into madness. But felt that everyone recognized Nicholson as the crazy mental patient from the first sight of him in the shining.

Apparently everyone from the Shining hated Shelley Duvall, including S. King lol

I can’t find the full episode but I watched it before on tv. My god this poor lady is nuts and dr.phil is a righteous **** for exploiting her on national tv!

Scream was originally going to be called scary movie

 

A few homages to Alfred Hitchcock are hidden in John Carpenter’s Halloween. Carpenter cast Psycho star Janet Leigh’s daughter Jamie Lee Curtis in the lead role, and named another main character, Dr. Sam Loomis, after the object of Janet Leigh’s affection in Psycho.

 

Ten days after Cannibal Holocaust premiered in Milan, the film was seized by the courts, and the director, Ruggero Deodato was arrested and charged with obscenity. He was later charged with murder and faced life in prison on the belief that several of the actors were murdered for the camera. Deodato contacted Luca Barbareschi and told him to contact the three other actors who played the missing film team. He presented the actors, alive and well, to the courts, and thus, the murder charges were dropped.

Also, the animal slaughterings in the movie were real. The killed animals were a coatimundi, a turtle, a snake, a tarantula, a spider monkey, and a pig.

 

Funny story, Scary Movie 1 was filmed at my highschool before I went there, but I lived a few blocks away and got to participate in some extra scenes that didn't make it into the movie.
We were told at the time that the movie was another sequel to Scream

 

Omfg @mikeconley11 The turtle scene still haunts me.. and the rock scene Cannibal Holocaust is NOT for the squeamish or really any well adjusted person

 

That is bad ass

 

It would have been more bad ass if I had made it into the movie but a shit ton of us got cut because we were too young looking.

 

It makes for a cool story bro moment!
