I sincerely wish Hollywood would write a new story instead of continually "rebooting" stuff that's already been done (to death). I can't remember the last time I watched a *new* movie that I didn't consider to be garbage...
I skipped Blair Witch at TIFF because it's coming out so soon, but I saw The Autopsy of Jane Doe which was awesome. Highly recommended!
I just saw Blair Witch and I thought it was ok, but I was a little disappointed from around the middle to the end And this is coming from someone who was a massive fan of the first one, and even though it's unpopular I liked the second one a lot too.
@Wrecky Since you like these cult / slasher / horror films, perhaps you've never heard of this gem =P
I agree. Huge letdown. I have a full review here, don't feel like typing all my thoughts again, do check it out if you want to know why for me. https://letterboxd.com/campopplestone/film/blair-witch/ But on the flip side I'm gathering with friends to watch one of my favorite guilty pleasure Horror movies of all time on Friday. Halloween 3: Season of the Witch
Back up to this^^ Every year on October 1st I do a full Halloween series marathon. Really gets me in the spirit <- (Jason, but close enough) Recently I also found a few new horror/sci-fi shows that I got into all at the same time. The Exorcist, Channel Zero, Aftermath and Crazyhead. All definitely watchable by my standards
Scary movies are bad for your health guise, they cause fear which could lead to weed smoking which could lead to paranoia which could lead to eventually smoking more weed. Just be aware of that little fact right there.
