Yaassss!! Mic drop go BOOM! So much excite for the rest of the season now I will definitely do this but I will have to think about it and decide what criteria to judge on :p
Here's something for the horror fans reading the board. My buddy Berdan is curating a series called "Horror Biz" for new blog Clrvynt. He has awesome taste and I'm sure he and his contributors will be unearthing some next-level gems. You can find what's been posted so far here: http://clrvynt.com/tags/horror-biz/
Also, I haven't checked it out yet because I'm broke, but Shudder TV sounds awesome. New streaming horror service curated by Colin Geddes (TIFF Midnight Madness programmer) & one of the guys who ran Fangoria magazine. Serious genre-heads. http://www.metronews.ca/entertainme...ming-service-shudder-is-coming-to-canada.html
Saw Ouija Origin of Evil. Meh. First half was legitimately good, then it just gets too over the top and stupid, twists for the sake of twists, and that final act killed the movie a lot 6/10
I figured I wouldn't be a huge fan but I still plan to see it because #horrorfiend I will honestly watch ANY horror movie, **** I even sat through Shark planet (if that's even what it's called) absolute shit btw, would not recommend
Ill watch any horror flick as well pretty much. Most of my friends dislike Horror so I have nobody to really share with haha
Oh I also finally watched Hush on Netflix the other night. Was quite solid, and unsettling. A deaf writer who has gone to a solitary house in the woods starts getting stalked by a masked killer. Having a deaf protagonist was interesting.
I've been ignoring Hush because the writer in the woods thing has been done to death. And I'm always a little irked by deaf characters being portrayed by hearing actors, but I will still watch it.. eventually
It's nothing groundbreaking, but I really enjoyed it. The stalking scenes are pretty intense, and there are a few clever moments, I particularly enjoyed one involving the deaf woman's specialized smoke alarm.
